Water temp. – 48-49 degrees

Waves – 1-2 ft. good chop, manageable along south shore

Fished 8 A.M. – 5 P.M.
Lures – Shadzillas, Bulldogs, Medussas, various flys, Suicks, Grandmas
Started at Detroit River mouth near Peche Island for 2 hours; no follows, strikes, or hook-ups. Motored to Belle River and spent the remainder of the day there.  Worked the water on the river side of the breakwater, half-way from shore out to about 100 yards past the marina entrance. A dozen follows, most were 35-40, one mid-40; neutral, coming below and behind the baits; no response to figure 8s from these; one fish in the boat, 38", on a fly.
