Planned on fishing from 7 to late and upon arriving at Murray couldn't find a spot to park. Waited around for 15 minutes and finally someone came in to take their boat out. So we dropped the boat in and Tyler waited with the boat. When I get back to the spot to park a couple not so cool guys pulled into the spot we waited 15 minutes to open. They had their boat on the trailer and started prepping to launch?? I waited for them to pull out but after five minutes it appeared they didn't care. So I went back down and put the boat on the trailer, passing them on the way out giving them a thumbs up and adding a not so polite word for their actions.
Ended up running over to Campau and found water temp of 72 most places, with mostly chara growing but some scattered pondweed that started to grow since the weed spray. There is decent color to the lake but very inactive fish. Saw one big girl but she was anything but interested in eating.
Anyone from MMA that runs into that kind of parking problem on Murray can drive around to northeast side and park in my drive. Always one spot in drive and one on street open. Have second guy drive boat around and pick you up at my dock.
Have been traveling this month so not fishing as much. Did not see a fish in several times out.
There always seems to be 2 problems with the parking at Murray:
1- Guests at neighbors houses park their passenger vehicles there
2 – The lot is angled in different directions. You get 1 A-hole that parks "against the grain", and he's now taking up 3 spots. I have literally picked up and moved a trailer by hand before, halfway jack-knifing the guys rig so I could pull in. I would've loved to see his face when he came walking back up to retrieve his truck. LOL.

My uncle told me before if people just park cars there to call the police and they will either get ticketed or towed because those lots are for trailers not cars.
So….. not allowed to meet somebody at a launch to fish. I would think as long as there is a recreational passport the vehicle is fine. Also, what about people that launch boats from the bed of their truck… not allowed to use the lake?
