Moved a good fish on the edge of the flat near the north end on the west side of the lower lake. Not aggressive, just lazy followed a black suick HI. He stopped 15 or 20 feet out and I couldn't move him again. Went back at dusk with a couple other lures and found nothing but a small pike.

I really like the HI and the way it hangs. I just wish I could get it down 4-5 feet instead of just 2.

Fished the south edge of that flat and the east side flat just below the narrows and took 2 pike and 2 bass total in 4 hours of fishing. Gosh, the entrance to the park is beautiful water. Huge cabbage beds in 11 feet of water with sand bars on both sides. I think it just gets too much traffic to be any good.

69 degree water, winds SW at 5 to light var, barometer 30.06. Cloudy skies, very light bloom to the water.

Good work seeing one.

In my experience, good looking spots that get a ton of boat traffic during the day, make for great night fishing spots.
