Decided to give Hamlin one last go for the year. Was fishing for about an hour when I had an absolute beast swipe boat side. Got her to go around 2 times before she decided I wasn't good enough for her [smilie=cry.gif] . Also had 2 follows of mid 30's fish and one short strike of what seemed to be a solid 40. Best action I've had all year out there. Was throwing rubber and large glides.
Might be a pattern on the drowned rivermouth lakes, the best saved for very late season. At Macatawa, the last 17 fish we have had on this year have been either brown trout, walleyes, smallies, northern pike, or muskies. An abrupt change from drum, white perch, and channel cats. Very good to see on Hamlin!
