Fished Emily, Peavy, Stanley and portions of the Paint.
Temps were 64 falling to 61 on lakes, mid 50s on Paint River.
No large fish sighted.
Contacted four fish in three trips on Emily, boated two — both 30 inchers about 10 minutes apart on Phantom Softail. One other strike on phantom after follow earlier in week on Whopper Plopper.
One good strike on Peavy, which is about the sexiest water in the state. Uncharted, ridiculous contours. Found a school of whitefish with large marks above and tried casting various lures, then jigging over the top with Bondy, no strikes. One hard hit on Sandcat at north end of lake, off rock face. Otherwise just a couple snaky pike.
Stanley did not produce a strike or follow other than a 26-inch walleye trolled up on size 16 Flat Rap.
Paint produced six contacts but no hookups. They were in that nip mode. All action on Phantom Softail except one Suick follow.
