Fished the lake from 10 to roughly 3:30 today. Nice day but a strong wind made it tough to pick and choose your spots. Surface temps right around 60. Did notice panfish up on their beds always a good sign when the lake starts to come to life. I did put another ski in the net. 38 inches with a smaller head I imagine a male?? To you guys that have my facebook check it out let me know. Sounds stupid but I got to teach about the beauty of musky fishing. I caught the fish in front of some families fishing down in the river mouth where it dropped off just before the bridge on Charlton park. After holding the fish for a picture they asked if it was big enough to keep I told them no and explained how long the fish lives and how unfair it would be to the fish to keep even if it was legal because it has so much life ahead of it. After it swam away i smiled and said to them now these kids can catch this fish and we all can share the moment over and over with each other. It's so surprising how little people know about the species even when it's in their own backyard. I have much work to do right in hastings.

Good work on getting that nice fish and the example set.

I struck out there in the morning on just a couple musky chances and got one pike.
