Water Temp 73
Weather: sunny and calm
Weeds: Cabbage all the way up to the surface in some spots

Had a brute inhale a Phantom soft tail at 11 am on beautiful bright sunny day. Whole 6' bait was out of sight. Took photo in the water at boat side. Quite sure it was 40+ as I had a hard time getting it to fit in my net. Burned time to get it unhooked by myself and no way to get a better photo so left it in the water without measuring. Swam off ok.

Thanks to advice from Will and Muskies Magazine I started off right with good pliers, spreaders, and bolt cutter at hand.

Congrats, and good to hear about having the proper release tools. Next thing might be a bigger net if a 40" fish fills the net you have now.
