Water: 70
Windy to start calm late
6-8 ft visibility
Weeds are coming along pretty good

Trolled the whole lake to start waiting for the wind to die down. No rips. Seems to be a lot of baitfish in the lake everywhere.
Switched to throwing bucktails and glides. Found one fish on the southeast end but didn't get her in the net. Boat side miss on a double black double ten. Heartbreaking moment on a really nice fish. Ended up getting one small pike.

Nice work seeing one in there. I have been there on the opener the last couple years and have seen a couple fish every time. I really like the lake, but it seems to be hard to get them to commit, or to be there at the right time. I think the best part is being able to get something decent to eat without having to leave the lake! Any guides drifting in and out of the channel yet??? we saw a few fish cruising in the torch river last week and figured it was about starting.

Clam has been pretty good lately. Contacting a fish each of the last three times out. They don't seem to be relating to anything in particular or I'm just missing it. I'm not sure what you mean about guides drifting in and out of the channel but as for torch river, yes they are gettin busy and there's definitely an increase in angler effort from last year.

Oh atlantics! Yeah they are pretty much done. They started about three months ago. It was a banner year from what I heard/seen. I know there are still a limited amount of them roamin around though. I've been seeing them porpoising at the northwest end of clam lake by that point and have seen a few in torch river recently. They are pretty easy to catch on a rapala twitched on the surface. Cool strikes!
