We fished from 8 to 1. Had nice cloud cover all morning and just a slight ripple on the surface of the water. Surface water temp was 72-74, air temp was 60-76. Weeds are HEALTHY, milfoil, grass and everything else seems to be doing just fine.
We didn't see any muskies, but we got into a whole mess of nice pike on the flats on the north end, past the marina. Most of the fish came from running in-lines (red & black) and spinner baits (color didn't seem to matter on these) over the submerged milfoil in 5-8" of water. We netted a 34", 33" 31" and 6 more ranging from 25-28" along with a few hammer handles and 2 largemouth. All the fish were crazy fat! They eat well here. The large pike definitely preferred the big muskie baits.
Despite the lack of muskie, we had a GREAT morning on the water. Good times [smilie=2thumbsup.gif]
