Matt and I got out for a full day of fishing. Temps started at 64° and warmed up to 67° around 4pm. We moved a lot of fish shallow in 4 to5 feet of water. Matt got one early and mid day. I got one at dark. 2 of the 3 fish went airborne on the hook set which made us both wish we had a go pro.

Good work! What lures did you hit them on and how big were they?

Adam's fish at dark was just over 37. My two fish were smaller. Most of the action came on talonz little claws. Best part of the day was 15 minutes or so after the sun set Adam had conceded his skunk saying something along the lines of "Well, 2 full days on the water for me and 2 skunks to start the year". Not more than a cast or 2 later he hits his fish and it comes flying out of the water. Pretty sweet to see 2 fish go full body airborne in one day. Nice little 15 hour day on the water…I got quite the redneck farmer's tan goin on today.

Sounds like a great finish, I was the green flat bottom out there for the first half of the day, had a number of follows, most of them on the little claw as well but couldn't find any that would commit….maybe next time.
