Went to fish thornapple today. Didn't realize the launch was still closed. Hopefully the man is found soon so his family and kids can have closure. Drove up to Murray and fished from 7 to 1. Had one small Muskie follow to boat on a claw but went away. I'm sure it was my fault it was pretty windy so I was messing with the motor when I realized it. The fish Lost interest on my figure eight I'm sure it will come with time. I take it that the gar pike are spawning?? I drifted over four of them. Two were big and the one actually hit my claw but I couldn't tell what it was at the time. Had never really seen big gars up close. Saw probably ten or so it was interesting I had another follow my claw but didn't take. Nice lake though wish I could of stayed longer but my friend had to go gonna go try for pike on a local lake to make sure I get a fish today. If they don't bite bring on the crappie!
