Fished 8:30-4:30
Water temp: 45
Water clear, though tough to see with the chop
Air temp was 34-40 with a strong west blow. Had some snow flying in the air.
Spent the first 3 hours trolling, some big baits some small. No hits trolling.
Casted the last 5 hours, with a few contacts. Had a muskie newbie get a glide eaten by a good fish, but shake off after a couple of runs, coupled with some thrashing headshakes. It would have been an impressive first muskie, but wasn't meant to be. He was thrilled as he go to see the take, and have a little tussle.
Rods were icing up pretty good, and hands were numb so we called it a day.
May have been the last hoorah for the season.
FIP,
Thanks for taking, and posting this pic. At the time I thought it was crazy I ever saw this picture. I was fishing with my brother Mike, and a friend Jake that day.
My brother passed away about a week and a half ago, and now I feel blessed to have a photo keepsake of our last fishing trip.
Thanks again!
Scott
