Fished: 2-9pm
Temp: mid 60s
Weeds: Milfoil coming along around most of the lake and good pondweed in spots coming up to the surface.
Clarity: 2' or so for most of the day. Wind/rain blew some pollen onto the lake later in the day.
Finally got some good weather for an entire day and the fish responded, especially in one good window around 4pm. Fished double tens, double eights, topwaters and some jerkbaits here and there. One of the highlights of the day was having a 36" explode on my gf's topwater and knock the bait 10' in the air. It was the first musky action on her lure and gave her a little bit of a shock.
I've never fished that lake before. I'm thinking about this Saturday depending on weather. I drive by a sign on 37 that points to the public access and one of these days I'm gonna be sick on the way to work and happen to have my boat with me [smilie=2thumbsup.gif] . What colors do you prefer on that water? And what is your schedule at work? I always look for you and can't seem to ever show up when your there. You must be fishing… Lol

Fish it very early or very late. Boat traffic is insane from 9 am til 8 pm. Not a good weekend lake.

I like browns and oranges in campau as the water is a little stained. Carp, walleye, black/orange are all good colors for baits. I work 5 days a week there including weekends and mainly work 1-10pm.
