Had to break ice putting in boat and the lake was about 50% covered in a thin layer of ice when I started. I spent the first half hour breaking up ice in a couple of my favorite spots hoping to help open them up for later. Ended up catching a chunky little 40" on a sucker, but that was the only action of the day. The weather was beautiful and I was the only boat on the water so I can't ask for much more than that. There was a bald eagle that kept hanging around as well so that was fun to watch too.
