Finally got out on the water this morning for a few hours with my Nephew and Brother in law. My nephew was able to catch a few bass with one nice one about 19'. I contacted a nice fish at around 9:00 between the islands guessing around 40 as it never did hit the net. It was an awesome eat though he came from nowhere at boat side and I ripped it out of his mouth but continued to figure 8 and he came back and ate it again. I battled for a bit then my Booty Call spinner bait came flying back at me just as the net was going down. Very Disappointed but elated at the same time. The net man made a valiant effort to tail net him as he was swimming off and almost took a bath in the process. Still cannot get it out of my mind it is going to haunt me until my next trip but it was nice to get out there and have a little action..
