We stayed at the State park and put in at Fairhaven. Temps were 69-70 degrees, Water clarity was pretty good compared to what I've been fishing in but it was probably a little stained for LSC. We trolled between Swan creek & the Salt River and nailed one right off the bat. My first Spotted and a new PB. It hammered a Super Shad Rap and fought like champ. It was awesome we fished most the day caught a couple 30" pike & a 25" Walleye. The Muskie did manage to tare up the net thrashing around but we took a couple pics and got it back pretty quick it was a good clean release. I also lost a planner board during the coarse of the day.

I don't know how many more lsc pictures I can see before I drag myself there. It's just a ways from Hastings. Sad thing is my brother has a big boat but is always chasing a different species and I have no confidence when it comes to trolling especially on big water.. Congrats on the fish I love seeing pictures it raises my moral! I'm fishing for the first time in 2 or 3 weeks for muskies on thorn or murrAy or campeau wish me luck you'll know if I get one.. Once again… Congrats on the fish it puts a smile on my face logging in and seeing muskies every day [smilie=bow.gif]

Pretty much everything I've learned about Trolling & LSC I got from this forum & the LSC section of the Michigan sportsman forum. There is a lot of info on this site you just have to search for it. It took me 4 trips over the past two years but I finally landed one on LSC. The best advice I can give you is to just go for it and if you spend enough time on LSC (Casting or Trolling) you will eventually catch one.
I am assuming he means Algonac state park, have stayed there many nights when we go on our 2-3 day trips. A tent spot in the wagon wheel section is like $18/night. Park the truck and boat on the slab and put the tent in the grass next to it and your good to go. Bring ear plugs for sleeping as partying drunks and guys exhausted from fishing don't mix well!
