No sooner did I get the boat in the water it started raining, wasn't raining real hard but had to put on the rain suit. Caught a couple bass and didn't think it was going to be a good day. Moved to the east side in 15' to 20' of water and was casting in toward the weeds.Didn't take a break till I got off the lake, big mistake. I usually take a break and regain concentration. So I make this cast and reeeling it in and turned around to look at something, the rod almost gets ripped out of my hand, turn around to see a small glimpse of the fish and guessed it 30" or 32". I was having a hell of a time to bring this fish up, either I'm a whimp or this fish is going to the gym. Low and behold I finally get it to the surface and it's a 30" channel cat on a Crane bait. It was fun. So I finished fishing this area and moved to one of my favorite spots and figured this would be it for the day. So I get to the spot and there's a guy sitting on it fishing with worms. Slowly went by him talking to him and he asked me all kinds of question, so we talked and he decided to leave. I waited about 5 minutes and on the second cast I got a 32" muskie. Got her in the net, hooks out, held he up to the tape on the side of the boat and got her back in the water, she shot out of my hands in about a minute. Said thank-you and goodbye to Hudson until Sep. Got the muskie on a Jr. Jake with rubber tail.
