Water usual filthy color, maybe more dirty than other visits, hardly any shallow weeds, water temps about 70 when I left 1:30pm, fished 7:30am until then. In looking back the surface temp today was a whole 2 degrees cooler than 3 weeks ago. Not liking the summer weather at this time of year, never do well when this happens in fall. Finally managed one chunky brawler almost noon, the only contact of the day but at least she ate good and stayed pinned. Better than a couple tries on other waters lately which saw little contact and some boatside heartbreak in quite a few hours of effort. Looking forward to true fall weather, though I'll need a new excuse if that fishing is very tough too.
