pikerule2 and I fished Thornapple for the morning. Nada on fish in the net but did catch a pike on one of the prototype Talonz jerk baits. Water was a little too clear for the bright skies. Fish were Lazy and slow. Always a pleasure to fish with such a good fisherman. Outstanding boat control and positioning and I really like that little Crestliner. Fish moved on Claws and Top water. I did feel a little nip on a buck tail and lost part of a grub tail on that bump. Never felt a fish though. Weed lines are defined and emergent. Mike

Had a great time, Mike, and a beautiful morning that helped offset the skunking. I want that great looking bluegill bait from the next run, please. It was also very cool to move fish on Claws with their creator with me. We'll get one to eat next time, those darn stubborn Thorn biotches!

Great conversations about important topics helps to pass the time. The Thornapple Muskies have never been easy but they were where we thought they would be. They did come out to play but most likely ate on a different peak. Maybe midnight. Good luck on your next outing. I am going Pike fishing today ha ha ha . Its back to Big Blue . Mike

Having fished with Joe last week Thursday, he is a hard working musky man who deserves all the success he has. Definitely someone with a positive attitude. And a great "swan charmer" too!

Agree, Joe is a good stick! Always a good time when we've been on the water.

Thanks for the kind comments but I have a helluva suck-streak going. I'm going after my old pal the pike on a river this weekend, if I get a nicer one maybe I'll paint her to look like a muskie and see if that helps ease the pain.

Hey Joe, I struck out today on Thorn today, so you're not alone. Catch a good pike!

Overslept and got a late start. Fished 10a-4p. At least you stirred some interest
