Man , Cant seem to get the skunk out of the boat. Monster bass on a double 10, Michelle got another big bass on a Little Claw and we moved two Muskies one on a Claw and one on top water.. Wind was way stronger then the weather man said it was going to be. He said 12 calming to 8 by 10 am. We had 20 to 25 most of the day. A few times it was pleasant enough. Water temps 73.5 all day. Weeds maxed out in the flats but nice edges along both sides of the trough. Its going to be real hard for guys who dont know the lake pretty soon . All those flats are a mess of MOSTLY unfishable water. It is starting to look like Lower Crooked used to look. There are however pockets and with a calm evening or morning where you can see them and hover casting to them fish can be caught. Today the wind just whipped us along and fighting it even with the new bow mount is just not worth the effort. Mike

how can you be fishing when there is a pike colored bait to be perfected? I am with you with the skunk but cleaned 140 gills tonight and my hands are a bit sore.
