30 mph winds make the white caps 1.5 to 2 footers out there.

I just drifted from one side to the other just casting the weeds.

Caught another pig largemouth that was about 19 inches, and lost another one later on that was 20-22.

Caught one smaller musky and had a nice tank follow, but doing figure 8's was hard with the wind. I threw back to the bigger one and he came after the bait i had on my other rod, but drifted back into the weeds.

Also had one other smaller fish follow and go around in the 8, again too windy to keep it interested

Wind is tough anywhere. Ill be there tomorrow with Michelle. Temps falling over night into the low 60's probably not going to see much due to that temp drop but she wants to go for the morning. I am hoping her ankle holds up. Winds should be under 15 mph. What lures did you move fish on? We tied up a bunch of new buck tails to throw on the new rods. I have a couple of special new baits just for miss piggy. Something she hasn't seen yet. Also were you drifting over a break when you saw the action or just random out on the flats? With the temp drops they might go down into the holes so tomorrow may be a different ball game altogether. Having an Idea where they were today might help. Any info would be appreciated. Mike and Michelle

I just drifted straight across the very middle of the lake as it is still really clear, and the weeds have almost most of the lake choked out completely other than a few spots where you can still burn bucktails.

I threw smaller bucktails all day and a few glides. The bigger fish was on the inside weed edge off some of the sandy area.

It is very defined and easy to see. I would fish the outside, then the inside and had fish move both and as well as straight down the middle of the lake over the deeper weeds.

Cool, we just got several new Mepps magnums and tied up some double 8 and double 10's. Sounds like osterhout . Once the weeds get established by June its real nice solid edges until the nuts chop it up. Then its SALAD SOUP. Thanks for the heads up , Michelle has not caught a fish yet this year. I kind of figured the weeds would be high but the trough down the middle never gets bad. I know those sand bar areas, we fished them the last time we were on the lake. We will be there until 2 pm then have burn for home and ship some lures. Thanks again for updates. Mike and Michelle
