Fished 8:30am-8:30pm
Temp-53-55
Clarity: SUPER clear 10+ ft
After reading everyones else's reports and all the fish everyone else caught I'm quite embarassed to post this. No fish spotted, no follows, no bites, nothing. This lake does kick my butt most the time but this day was worse than most. Kept waiting for something to turn on but nothing. Tried tubes, dawgs, gliders, cranks, and even a few bucktails. Tried shallow, deep, the breaklines, flats, points, and any new weed growth I could find. I even trolled for about 45min during the middle of the day just to take a rest. NOTHING

😯 Wow, long day!! You've got spirit, there, Ryan! LOL. Good try. I would still be on cloud 9 after that other fish you got. I'm still at 0 for the year. Suprised you didn't try to go get her again! [smilie=brows.gif]
I kept thinking later in the day yesterday that I must have used up all my luck in March. I usually never go to Austin on opening weekend. Not for any real reason other than my yearly musky tradition has become to hit Bankson on opening day, then Long on Sunday. I have a 4-day weekend coming up this week and plan on spending well over 40hrs in the boat Thurs-Sun so we'll see.

Nice! I'll be lucky to have 40hrs in by the first week of August… [smilie=cry.gif]
Long is tough. Best to fish it with a good chop on the water and lots of cloud cover otherwise try it at night. That gin clear water really keeps them down on bright days. I was part of a 7 fish day on that lake all on dawgs. It was a cloudy blustery day. Also think Gold,Olive and did I mention Gold? Browns and golds man. Mike
