Fished: 3:30-9:30
Water temp: 73-74
Weeds: Lot of floating milfoil due to recent weed killing, but still mats of it down to 12'. Pondweed still around as well
Clarity: Dirty due to the weed killing, but still 4' with brown tint
Fished with Swanezy after work but maybe should have stayed home with all the bonehead boaters. Moved a decent fish right away (first 5 casts) on a DCG. Fish was screaming in on the bait, but somehow didn't eat at boatside. Moved a real small fish about 30 min later; was small enough as I could see it still had spots on it. Went hours without seeing anything after that until around 8:30 when another small fish came in while the sun was going down. That fish didn't go at boatside either. Fished bucktail, topraider, weagle, wabull, bulldawg, medussa, sandcat.

yea and throwing their beer cans in the lake all over, a sea doo retard going to full throttle 3 ft from out boat in the channel, and the old couple who drove right in front of us while we were casting.Full retard special is in effect on that lake
Had the same thing Saturday. 3 times, boats came close enough where I could've hit them with a bucktail. I kept my mouth shut, but it took everything I had to do so.
It will never be as bad as it was in 2003. It took Todd Frank to throttle the guy in a red Magoomba ski boat. That terd buzzed Michelle and I in November with snow on the ground. We launched and started casting down the east shore north right out of the Boat Launch. Moved two fish in minutes and then we heard the roar and looked up just in time to see this guy in wet suit skiing and the boat went between us and shore about 30 feet away close enough to make us both have to sit down fast. We were livid and scared a little as we did not know what their intentions were. I f I would have had a gun I WOULD HAVE GONE TO JAIL. THEY CIRCLED US STARING AT US WAITING FOR US TO DO SOMETHING. We called the police when we got home as we didnt have cell phone then. Now everyone has one and they dont get away with blantant infractions anymore or harassing anglers. Mike
The guy on the SeaDoo was the worst I think as we were just going through the channel at 5mph and he just takes off right next to us. He was trying to pull a tube behind him and the tube flew up in the air and almost hit my boat – I could have easily jumped in the tube it was so close. He was wearing jorts so that explains a lot of it haha. The drunk pontooners were hilarious as one guy got really upset for some reason and jumped out of the boat and swam to shore. He definitely was struggling at the end and barely was able to pull him self up on a dock (even though all he had to do was walk up the drop-off)
Not to say we have it the worst but, come fish on the Titt chain!!! Even weekdays are insane if it's nice out….Literally almost been hit 3 times in the past 2 years, talking 15ft or so before people seen me. One time was 2 young girls riding jet ski's at about 50mph looking at each other and talking and at the last minute they seen me and hit each other!!! I had the Terova on 10….Last year 2 different ski boats, looking back at the skier, I guess that mirror by the wheel is for looks, real Ra-tards….Usually with my little short fuse when I try and bomb one a little close I get one of those professional over runs……Oh and I got into it with a guy who then said he was going to his house to get his gun because I ignored his dumb azz when he asked me if I was gettin any….This was done after the same fish followed 3 times and the next throwback resulted in him driving between me and my lure…Actually had to lift my rod as high as I could so he didn't run over my line, seriously come up and fish this waste of water, it's a joke. Yeah Michigan has alot to offer, if you have the time and money. At this rate I spend more time driving than fishing, only place I can enjoy is the parts of the Great Lakes or giant bodies of water, these puddles are only fishable on rainy days or in the Fall….
It drives me nuts that there is no effort to enforce things like the 100' rule and put a stop to some of the reckless boating on these small all sports lakes. There are deaths from boating accidents every year in Michigan and nothing is done to try and stop it. It would be nice if more of these lakes had rules like no wake between 7pm and 11am the next day. The guys that really tick me off are the old man skiers on Murray that come out and start shredding the north end of the lake at 7 am every morning.

On most of are smaller lakes that we fish along with Titt Chain since they are very narrow in areas the 100' rule would be a gold mine for them to enforce, No-wake areas near boat launch's would be a good idea…Honest to god 4ft wakes by the Wixom DNR launch, seriously how stupid is that to launch on a lake that isn't capable of generating waves over 2ft from wind….I guess I'm done complaining…Oh wait I could just go to Ovid, and then try and step over people on the dock fishing while I'm trying to tie up…One more time and some people are getting shoved in the drink, the pier would be a super long walk to fish off…..
HAHAHA @ Corey!! I know, I've thought about pushing those dumb-azzes off the dock as well! Some won't even move a muscle when you're trying to load or unload by yourself. Just sit in their lawn chair taking up 1/2 the dock.
Steve, at least the guys on Murray stay in 1 stretch. They take up a nice section of water, but, I guess I'd rather have that than to have them going around in circles all over the lake.
What every lake needs is a NO-WAKE from 7pm-8am. That way, the fisherman get to use the resource during the best hours, and the recreational people get to do what they want during the hottest hours of the day. I don't think that's asking for much. That's basically only 4 hours of daylight with no wake.
yea it's total bs what some of these guys do.. i got most of it on tape too lol..
I haven't shown this yet, but for those of you have who have fished murray this is classic.
This was a weekday too. Minnick and I got out for some night fishing and this typically ensues..
Everyone who fishes there knows where we were at and this is that edge that drops off from that flat across from the launch..

I apologize in advance for anyone offended by the swearing and biggot term i use, it isn't the N word either, but if you don't wanna hear it mute it
It seems far away cause of my camera, but as you can see they drove over where my line was
Also cops would make bundles of tickets on campau/kettle if they enforced that crap in the channel.. The best part is that channel comes out right by the boat launch. It is a hazard to even launch on weekdays there.
Yeah Campau can be a real circus. I've managed to avoid Murray on the busy days and try to fish weekday mornings as much as possible. I wish they had a no wake rule at certain times of the day, but I'm not sure it would get enforced anyway.
Whatever you do, don't call the two overweight women that like to ride on a jet ski together on Campau, "fat". They will do circles around you after that. Just a heads up.
I always thought that the intended purpose of castmasters was doinking heads of morons… ah well.
I did have a little evil chuckle one morning on murray, I was right at the end of the ski course in that nice fresh cabbage off the creek inlet at about 7 AM in the spring, and some die hard in a full dry suit came out to ski. he got to the end of the course and had to let go cuz the tow boat turned so hard avoiding me at the last minute. They had some select words for me at the moment, and it took especially long for me to finish fishing that particular spot 😈
I dod wish they would enforce the 100' rule, and isn't 150' from shore and docks???? either way, that would make a large portion of the upper antrim chain reduced speed out of lack of water.

[smilie=sumo.gif] [smilie=sumo.gif] Laugh on the big girls!
I can give a jet skier a break just because they are usually unaware of etiquette and rules of the water, what kills me are the rude fishermen that come around the bow after overtaking improperly and can see you casting off the nose, only to cute 40yards in front of your weed bed that you are moving towards. Or chop throttle right in front of your bow and start fishing in front.
Happened twice yesterday on Austin, and there were only 1/2 dozen boats on that entire lake. It takes a few weeks to get used to but soon it will be second nature to the point of not even noticing…
