Wondering if anyone has hit Ovid this week yet? I may be heading out there on Saturday, and kinda wondering what to expect. Thanks!

There's a Chinese word for what I'm thinking with that response… what is it again?? Oh yeah — DUH!! [smilie=biggrin.gif]
I was more hoping that someone could give an insight on temp, weeds, and what they are moving on. [smilie=attention.gif]

I would say with chocolate milk they won't be chasing much. Water temp is probably 55-57, but that is a guess. Good luck Jim, Ovid is on the possible list for Tuesday, but I don't like dirty water.

No, it wasn't my first choice, but I'm meeting someone from Detroit, and he can only fish until 1 or 2. Wanted to do Murray, but that would cut fishing time and sleeping time back by 1 hr.

Last Saturday it was ~52°F with about 3-4 ft visibility in most places. Pondweed is 2-5 ft tall in many places shallower than 8 ft., but not everywhere like it has been some years. Some milfoil around also, looking mediocre to good. Saw no fish after 4 hrs; buddy saw nothing after 9 hrs. He spoke to another boat who said they'd got 2.

DUH!! did you see that the whole area to flint got anywhere from 2"to 7" of rain? Not hard to put those pieces of the puzzle together.

Yes it was, as it turns out, but it was still usable, if you don't mind getting wet… 🙄

Sunday it was 62-65°F with 3-5 ft visibility depending on where you go. Pondweed looks great in many places. Milfoil fair to good in many places. It was fairly easy to see weed edges when the sun was shining.

The last time we were there, the fish were super shallow. Lost 2,bagged 1 all on gliders in 3' water. The one caught was on a Wabull. Just like the one you sold a little while ago, JT! [smilie=biggrin.gif]
