So we went last week five guys two boats. We stayed on Thousand Island and started fishing right away. Long story short that repeats itself on every lake…Water was 85 with the thermocline at 16 feet in CC. Caught Pike, bass, and some panfish but everything was TINY like the size of bait at best. Pressure was unreal Wednesday afternoon bluebird skies we had 6 musky boats working Lindsley. Wednesday we hit LVD. We bailed Thursday to Mine ponds/Chicagon which we should have done Tuesday but the drive blows. Caught some nice smallies and the water temp was starting to drop. Long story short moved one small fish in LVD and seven in Emily (last night of course) with no skis boated but we did keep a batch of gills one night off LVD (cleaned forty) ate too much and had a good time. One more good night of sleep Ill be ready to go back! I would not however recommend going at this time of year all the locals said it is "peak" season in the west end FYI.

It seems the 2012 summer heat can really slow em down, even in the up and Canada. Makes me want to go to Cisco and chicagon in October on a trolling mission…..ill keep dreaming I guess….. 🙄
