Skegemog and Six mile water temps up to 74-76ish

Skegemog: has cabbage stacked up 11ft tall in some spots with tons of baitfish holding in deep water. 1 fish seen.

Sixmile: Entire south end is a weed mat, had trouble locating fish or getting anything to move.

Its almost time to troll Elk. Weeds seem to be bad everywhere this year. Budd was unusually bad yesterday. Towers of grass like mats in spots. Sounds Like Skeg is looking pretty good. You might want to look at the very south end of Elk in 10 to 15 feet of water. Should be better than normal years for cabbage. Mike

Skegemog is looking real good and it should turn out another fish soon. The fish seem to be moving out of the cabbage and out over open water during sunny days. I moved a small fish in the shallows early today but after that it went dead. Still experimenting but from the looks of the baitfish and the dozens of pike I've been catching, the deep water adjacent to those areas seem to be key. That's just my theory though.

Mike, I call dibs on a boat ride if you make it up to Elk to troll. 😀

Found fish in the deeper cabbage on Tuesday in Skeg, a couple smaller ones and one good one. All chasing rubber.

Sorry I didn't get in touch while I was up there, but looks like you got out anyhow. I was going PM you about thursday, but the fishing in the upper had been so bad I didn't think it was even worth it!
