Fished: 2:30-8:30 with Steve (mayhem) and Jon (swanezy)
Temps: 77-79
Weeds: Weed choked in the shallows, but nice/fishable milfoil and coontail going down to 9'
Clarity: Pretty good @2'+ depending on wind

Got out today with some other young guns and had a nice day on the water. We were worried about the cold front, but that stayed off until we were off the lake so that helped a lot. Had action on plastics, jerkbaits and topwaters. Pictures and video to come.

It was a good day indeed. The fish could definately feel the cold front coming as they weren't in the mood for following, they were just blasting baits. The 2nd fish almost ripped the rod out of my hands.

Sounds like a darn good day, especially anytime they eat like that instead of the indecisive, curious fish days. Good work out there, you were still doing things right to make the most of their more positive mood.

I guess I was okay with being the designated net boy; the last net job was close though haha.

Cool! Two thoughts: a) you are getting darn good with the camera and b) you owe the net man a brewski for outstanding performance.
Great topwater strike.

My fish had that same type of lesion thing like that fish hemi posted last year..

It was on the bottom of the fish, you can kind of see it.

We didn't know what to do with it, but it just looked messed up, one of its fins had holes in it and the area around it was all raw looking

The video looks great…..getting a weagle strike that close to the boat on video is awesome. I can't help but grin like an idiot everytime I watch the slow-mo of my hookset on the 2nd fish.

Very nice fish, guys. [smilie=applause.gif]

I caught one there this weekend with some sores on it too, but they didn't look NEARLY as ugly as that fish's last year whose sores were very deep and scummy looking. These lesions were red, and partly healed. What I saw on your fish didn't look as horrible as that fish last year, either.

yea hemi, my fish was the only one with it, and they looked almost like lamprey type lesions, but they were more spread out and all raw looking, but slightly healed in its anal area.. and around it's pelvic fins on the bottom? You can see when i try to turn the fish at the end of the video before it flips out of my hand and scoots off..

It didn't seem to affect the fish, although she was pretty skinny for her size

ur link didn't work for me hemi,

this one should work

<url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

The lesion's looked iffy, but not life threatening, I didn't have the heart to kill a fish that size, and seemingly pretty healthy other than being a little under weight
