Finally got back out to do some trolling again. Went 7 for 7 fishing the south shore, mainly the Thames and Belle river areas. Water temps were 49-51. Water was clean-dirty and everything in between. No floating weeds. (YES!!!) No big fish caught but I think I have seen the fattest 38"er that I'll ever see!!! Black perch Ziggies in 8" jointed and 10" straight were the baits that caught them in the dirty water. Chocolate perch and yellow belly perch Nils caught the clean water fish. Lot's of boats fishing up close in the Belle river area.

Guys I here time and time again of this area being good. can you recommend a good boat ramp in this area. I typically fish the N.Channel to grassy island looking for another good spot of the lake. I know the south shore is big water just curious how far from shore and water depth. I would think the big water boat dominate the area in this part. I have upgraded recently to 18FT Deep V, might venture if weather is decent. Any info would be appreciated, thanks
