Temp: 76

So last couple of weeks have been pretty eventful out there, we've seen fish just about every other time we've gone out and we've missed some nice fish that just didn't connect.

Still Searching for my first Muskie, I've come so close and was feeling really good about tonight. We made it out around 5ish and hit up a spot where we have been seeing a bunch of fish. Tonight I was fishing with my two close friends Mac and Jake Stinson, Jake isn't quite experienced and has never caught a muskie. Anyways just a few casts in Jake gets a sick rats nest and asks me to dig it out for him…I hand him my Rod with a Double 10 attached and on his second cast he misses a hit, continues to reel and the fish follows and hits right at boatside but misses and streaks away. I've instructed the kid many times to figure 8 if he gets a follow or misses a strike, but he just kind of drops his lure into the water in confusion and frustration. Well that was enough for this Ski, he attacked that thing with a vengeance and connected. Needless to say it was extremely exciting and for that to be his first fish, can't ask for a better way and I'm really happy for him. (pissed I gave up my rod though haha)

Nice job but good God man… are you ever due. I'm not sure cheetah will get it done. Maybe you need to choose something like turtle, maybe an ill tempered turtle though.

You will get it done. You've got the tools which have put you guys consistently on fish in some of the most difficult waters in Michigan. I think I've got a horse shoe somewhere in the garage, I'll deliver it to you.

35 is still always good to see on Skeg…seen one about that size come in the hole on Skeg this last winter ice fishin for perch, wanted nothing to do with my little jiggin rapala but scared all the perch away…I was happier to just see the muskie than catch a bunch of perch that I didnt care that the perch were gone for 20 mins afterwards…always nice to see a muskie regardless of its size out there cause you know what he'll become in a couple years

Reminds me of a time on Ovid when someone picked up his rod and was talking while a low forties fish was three inches below the lure underwater just waiting for it to drop and I was like "Umm dude do you not see that fish?"
