Temp: 78-79
Clarity/Color: Brown Stain. 2-3' visibility
Weeds: Very dense and unfishable out to 6 or 7 feet. Looked like mixes of cootail and milfoil? Didn't really get close enough to pay special attention to.
Fished from 4-10pm. Figured Murray was going to be too busy, and didn't feel like chasing deep fish in the clear water, Campau was going to be busy as well, and it's too small to put up with the traffic. Ovid was a little too far away, so we settled on Thorn. Seen a couple fish on Dawgs, Cranks. Finally got one to eat just before sunset. The sherbert dawg strikes again. Then it failed me again. I knew I was pushing that fish too much, but with the warmer temps, just wanted it in & out of the net. I should have let it make another run, but I forced it too soon, and it threw the hooks 5' from the net. Right around a 40"er. Stocky too. Oh, well. No stress on the fish, and at least I got to feel my rod tugging around.
