Forgot to post this last wkend, but my friend and I headed out in the pouring rain and got there about 7. Air temps were 63-64, Not sure what the water temps were, but when the sun came out before we left it was 80 degree's and the water felt cool to the touch. Im guessing probably 76-77ish
A few follows and a couple strikes. My friend got a healthy 42.5 on topwater. Scooted off like a bass after a few moments of holding her by the tail. A little slime did come off her body in the net, which im assuming was from the warm water, cause that has never happened before when ive caught a musky with a beckman net.
Lots of weeds everywhere, water is clear, but has a little tinge to it.

but it coated my net and was milky
Perhaps just a really excited angler? 😯
Sounds weird and though they seem to have a thicker slime coat in the summer I don't think milky would ever be a word that would be used to describe it. Slime production isn't an immediate thing so stress from the catch wouldn't make this happen.
