Fished noon to 6pm, morning looked good at home then I arrived to clearing skies and calm. Ugh, my punishment for sleeping late and being lazy after a long night. Water about 67 at the surface, very clear, typical Austin weeds but I don't visit as much these days to really know. Later in the afternoon I got two on as some cloud cover arrived with at least some wind, boated one nice chunk in the upper 30s. No other contact.

This fish felt good since the first two tries this fall were skunks on Thorn, after a hot summer away from muskies. Had some contact and lost a really good one at the net at Thorn on the second try, which was a bitter disappointment but still gave some hope for a decent fall. Here's to all of us making up for time lost this summer, and maybe the big moody bitches won't be conditioned as much as most falls, with fewer lures pounding them all summer.

Good job. Must have just missed you. I left around 12:15 to make it home for the Lions game (bad move). I thought it was going to be a great morning but like you said the lake turned to glass mid morning, but I was luckily able to boat one myself.
