Decided to fish Ovid for the opener. Decent weather without any rain to speak of. Lots of weed growth, pond weed, in areas where I hadn't see it before. No fish in the net but it was nice to get out.

Thanks to Hemi Chemi for pointing out a loose lanyard as to why my motor wouldn't start as I sat in my boat at the launch, dazed from no sleep, looking out on to the lake and wondering what on earth could be wrong now as I had just ran the boat around on a few lakes. The fire restoration crew had been moving my boat around a few times and must have unclipped it.
