Fished Anchor Bay today move a few fish including one large specimen. Two smaller fish committed with one hitting the net and the other thankfully releasing itself. Two bonus Smallmouth (both just shy of 21"). Fun day on the water. We were unable to meet at the launch or for lunch due to my buddy coming straight from Selfridge Marina (he is an MP with boat at their marina, just got out of work at 5:30am). We decided to skip lunch and keep fishing. Hopefully one of you guys stuck a big one. If anyone has tips on areas, depths for this time period…we would be happy to accept some tips. We both have mainly trolled the main lake a little later in the year. This is his first year with a boat.

Jim and I had a good time on LSC but the fishing was a little slow. Fished from 6am to 6pm I believe. Moved/saw around 12 fish total, but none of them were really interested and turned away at the boat. Finally picked up a small guy trolling on a Moski Teardrop 3' down over 7' of water. Had to take a picture since it was my first LSC musky and my first trolling musky.

Jason, you forgot to tell how hard you worked for that fish. Laying down, taking a nap on the back deck. HAHA!! That ZIT-ZIT really woke your butt up!

get the bugs out the boat, lol.
Ain't that the truth! That mayfly hatch is something else. I was crunching on bugs the whole rest of the day that hit my windshield and fell onto the front deck.
The morning started off with a lost mid-40, a couple pike caught, 6-8 smaller fish that chased but didn't want to eat. The water had changed and the fish had moved so we went looking for fish. Caught one about 43 and had another to the boat that was about 6" bigger, she wouldn't eat for me though.
Lunch was good at the Raft.
Fishing was OK, I think Dad had a stretch of about an hour where he had 10 fish to the boat after lunch and only one tried to eat but missed. That was the story after lunch though. Plenty of fish out there they just didn't want to eat.
A unique day though since I caught a largemouth, smallmouth, rockbass, whitebass, pike and a muskie. Probably could have caught a few more species with a little effort.

Will did you catch a rockbass on a muskie bait?
Dad got one on a muskie bait. After getting the muskie, pike, whitebass before lunch I decided after lunch to get a few more species on the list for the day and got out a spinning rod w/ a tube. I couldn't believe that the rockbass was the hardest to catch.
