water temp don't know
Was drifting from one side to the other throwing a Tallwacker behind me, this happened about 6am, about 15 ft behind me the water explodes, she came out of the water about 4 ft. The battle lasted about 3 minutes and I had her in the net, Iwas by myself. Ithought she was about 42" to 44". She was 48" and about 35lbs a real burley girl. I could see the boat launch and a guy came out and went to the east, I blasted my air horn about 10 time, nobody not even the camp ground came out. I have a disposible camera took 2 pic in the net, 1 on the bump board and 2 releasing. When I went to pull her out of the net I almost went in with her, no Wheaties this morning. Got her going and she swam away real good. She had all 3 hooks in her front lip and destroyed them, took a pic of the lure. On the way home stopped to tell partner about this and stopped at Tim Mottes house on the way and he repaired my lure, big thanks Tim. Now as Paul Harvey would say the second part of the story. Fished about another 3 or 4 hours and looked in the back of the boat and my Stowmaster net isn't there. In all the excitment when I released this fish it dropped in the water. These fish do crazy things to you. Went back to where I released her, put on a spoon casted the first time branch, second time the net. Lucky and feeling like a dumb azz. WOW! WOW! WOW!
I'd like to give a big thank-you for everyone's kind words and this is the way a club should be. This is from a good leader like Will he's like Father Flannagan from Boy's Town (well maybe Muskie Town). I'm just starting to enjoy this fish today, yesterday there was no time, by myself and nobody around all I thought of was her safety. Once in awhile I start to shake thinking of her today. Adam this wasn't my PB, to this day there is a fish from Hudson that I think about everyday. She was good bit longer but a bit lighter. Everybody thanks again, Steve
