Fished from 6am till 5pm, rained about 60% of the day, could see about 4' in the water (good for Hudson), wind E to SE 5 to 10. Good day, started off the morning with a 20" LM fat healthy fish, about 45 minutes later a 34" muskie, beat-up from spawning, but still looked good, Did I mention my afternoon bonus fish, that my partner wanted me to do my best impersonation of Jimmy Houston. I tagged a 20lb carp in the dorsal fin, what a fight. Now the bad news, saw a dead muskie in the back area. couldn't get close enough to see it. Talked to Cooper later, he measured and weighted the fish. 54" and 35 lbs, said no marks on it. Wonder if it died of old age. Don't know how long it was dead and wonder if the weight could have easily been 40 – 45 plus??
