3/26 – Webster Lake
Fished 12-6
Water temp: 46-50
Water clarity/color: slight stain to stained
Weed growth: some green milfoil and some deep green coontail
Fished shallow mostly and caught fish in 4-6 FOW twitching crankbaits. Tough fishing and needed to find a lure these fish were more willing to bite OR find different fish.
3/27 – Webster Lake
Water temp: 46-50
Water clarity/color: slight stain to stained
Weed growth: some green milfoil and some deep green coontail
Started shallow and moved a bunch of fish on a small jerkbait but most showed little interest in eating. Went looking for other fish off the breaks and located some deep fish that were more willing to eat. Good news for the IOC we thought but later found out that Barbee was open to boating.
3/27 – Barbee Chain
Water temp: 46-50
Water clarity/color: slight stain to stained
Weed growth: some green weeds mostly coontail and cabbage
Decided to fish Barbee for the Ice Out instead of Webster mainly doe to forcasted high winds and the deep fish would have been tough to catch in the wind. Moved a ton of fish through the day but only able to boat a couple. The dirty waters from the flooding combined with the clouds and wind had an effect on the fish.
