Water temps: All over the place but mainly low 60s
Weeds: Good cabbage growing in most places. Best stuff growing in areas out of the heavy winds
Clarity: Very good in the vermillion bay area. 4-10' or so depending on the sun and wind.
Had very tough weather for most of the week which made fishing and traveling hard. 30-40mph winds with air temps 10-20 degrees cooler than the previous week. Water temps dropped about 10 degrees as well, but dispite the bad weather we still had some good action. Caught a handful of fish with some nice ones (43,46,47,48) and lost a couple others as well. Had some real nice fish up but couldnt get them to go. Our success from last year of raising fish during the day and coming back at night with the weagle didnt work as the winds were far too strong for it. Most action came on the lee side of islands where the weeds were the highest. Blade baits were the biggest producers with sumways and showgirls getting the most attention. Bigger bladed baits got some looks and caught fish. Twitchbaits and bulldawgs got some attention as well especially in the colder temps. Black/orange seemed to be the hot color like usual.
