Went to edgewater today on the Atantic side had a great time with multiple pods of Dolphins. Caught a crapload of bait for tomorrows trip to the warm water discharge of the Nuke plant at Yankeetown hopefully I can catch a shark…
Keep an eye out for the American Crocodile there. It's probably too cold but they might be active in/near the warmwater and that's one of a few places in FL where you can see them!
Well we hit the Nuke plant and found warm water but the fish still had lockjaw, caught a bunch of little catfish and saw manatees so a worthwhile trip.
Bailed out of Ocala on 1/3 and headed for the panhandle, temps still suck!!!! water 46 and air feels like deer season in Michigan. Went out today but the temps were enough to keep us close and back to the hotel. Looks beautifil but colder than ice… certainly a lot to learn here about the when and where of fishing. Hard to believe the area will be having "the lowest temps in decades" while I am here bbbllllleeehhhhh stupid weather.
