Made my annual trip to Iron Co. with muskies on the brain. Braved bad cool weather, rain and ridiculous winds in search of fish. Water temps were pretty consistant on the 2 lakes I fished at about 68-71 degrees. Clarity on Chicagon was unreal 10'+ and Emily had about 2'. Where there were weeds on Chicagon they looked pretty good. Emily was a lot like Ovid. I moved a decent (40ish) fish on Emily on a Suick. I had a follow from a little fella on a Buchertail and a nip on a Topraider night fishing on Chicagon. Other than that, the only other action I witnessed on the lake was a couple having some fun in their lake house. Even though there was no fish in my new net, I still had a great time. I managed to come away with a dozen new lures from my trip to Minocqua and more than enough cheese curds to tide me over til next year.
