Fished 12:45pm – 5pm. Water was 69 degrees. Moved 5 fish between 1pm and 3:30pm, all on topwaters. The fish were in 5-8' of water, either at the weed edge or in the weeds.

The first 3 were lazy follows that turned and sped off as soon as I saw them. Next one followed and went around about 4 times before disappearing, and I could almost swear that fish was intentionally short striking. Twice I saw its mouth open wide and its gills flare while it was still several inches away from the bait. The fish sort of paused when it did this, rather than rushing the bait. Maybe it was just yawning out of boredom??? [smilie=crazy.gif] The last fish I saw was definitely trying to eat, but it came out of nowhere right at the side of the boat and I pulled the @#$%! lure out of its mouth before it had a chance to chomp down!
