Fished the afternoon with Ron B. and a musky rookie Harry playing hooky from work with Ron. Looked like an ideal fall bonanza-type day, but we only contacted 3 fish, don't know and don't care to try to explain why. Hemi has a standard answer, and he could be right for all I know! Anyway, 2 were smaller models one ~31" in the net early, but the day-maker waited until about the 9th inning. Harry got to feel the power of a nice 43"er that crushed his shallow raider on the first crank, and went completely airborn twice before settling in the net. He was one happy fella, and so were we to be able to put a rookie on a fish like that!!
