Thanks for the post, I've always wanted to try there for pike. I got out on puddle in my area late yesterday, plenty of ice then with that slush layer with crust on top. Anyway, no love then right at sunset, both flags went up within two minutes of each other, got one and lost one, nothing big but fun and more evidence pointing to tiny feeding windows. Stayed until dark and no more action.
NICE JUST TO GET OUT EH !! WENT OUT SATURDAY AND HAD THE FROZEN SNOT THING HANGIN FROM NOSTRILS BUT IT WAS WORTH IT WITH 20-30 GILLS AND SPECKS.SAME SALESMAN FROM WORK GOT ANOTHER MUSKY ON AT MURRAY…BUT ON A TEARDROP…SAID HE FOUGHT IT FOR OVER TWENTY MINUTES AND LOST IT IN THE HOLE WHEN HE TRIED TO GILL IT.GUESS THE JIG WAS ONLY STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE JAW.HE ESTIMATED THE HEAD..AND LANDED ANOTHER ONE A WEEK BEFORE 39.5..HE SAID IT WAS A GOOD "FORTY".THINK HE LIVES BY MUSKY ALLEY,BY MUSKY POINTS AND PEACH TREE AND SYCAMORE..
