Old Musky Lakes

Somewhere at home I have a Michigan out-of-doors magizine from like the 70's. In the book it has some lakes listed that are no longer lakes known to musky fisherman and I am curious idf anyone has ever fished them. One of them is Murphy in Tuscola Co. this one has quite a few master angler awards on it ending in 84 or 86 when they killed it.

The second is Lake George in Ogemaw Co. It actually says in the book that Lake George was a brood stock lake. Other than this magizine I can find absolutely no info on this one, anybody got a clue???

Yes and yes...

Actually fished Murphy after the "kill" and found a mid-40" fish that missed a suick right at the boat.

Lake George was a tiger lake from what I remember, then again that was over 20 years ago and I'm getting old. A good walleye lake from what I understand now.

S. Dease was stocked under a private permit by the lake association. Not sure how many fish they put in...

Anyone ever fish Cusino or Dana Lakes in the U.P.??? Or what about Chicago Lake? These are little holes that are "suppose to be" loaded with Muskie. I hear at least.. Anyone ever fish them or do any well? Are they worth a trip...Or should I just head for Lac View Desert then keep going to North and South Twin, then end at Lake Minoqua??? :)
