Hi Guys, I have 2 new Records. I got the bigger ones and they came with a single paddled crank handle like trolling reels. Im kind of dissapointed that both type handles were not included. About the size of a 6500. Im going to order the double paddled handles from Spirit lake. Ill try the single ones but I forsee some trouble finding the handle quickly without the double. Kingfisher

Bummer, cost me 14 bucks each for the regular double handles plus shipping. They do not have any in stock as this reel was not offered with standard handles. You have to buy the smaller one to get the double paddled handle. That one is about the size of a 5500 c-3. Spirit lake pulled two off of new reels and ordered some from ABU. I think If musky fishermen buy a lot of these there will be issues getting these handles. Kingfisher

You must have got the 60hc which has the smaller diameter spool. The regular 60 is the same reel with a large arbor spool that will hold about 115 yards (145/14) of 80lb PowerPro.

Hey Mike if you're looking to get rid of those darn single paddle handles, I'll take them off your hands!

give the single paddles a little while they will grow on you. Has anyone noticed that Cabela's doesn't have the original C3's listed in the spring book. I am looking to get into a couple of the 7000's this season has anyone tried any of the bushing reels???

Hey Mike- sounds like you have your reel handle problems taken care of, BUT if you want to swap something for your single handles bring 'em to the banquet! I'd be more than happy to swap double handles for them

Hi Guys, I used them on a couple of pike reels (trolling) 5500 c-3 models. I may try again later but am very happy with the reels now and they do cast well and are very smooth. Got my first Musky with one feb 4th. I wish I would have known that there were two of the same size reels with different spools. I didnt need the extra capacity. Oh well live and learn. Kingfisher
