Holy Crap, man! 500'?? Were you targeting them so you had that much line to play with? Or did you get down into the backing?

Was not targeting, incidental catch... Or should I say snag. Thought we had bottom. Jim, I troll with 40 lb big game. The reel holds 600' of line. Very coolskin on the fish. The head and back are like armor. you hear of these fish getting snagged quite often by muskie trollers, but I have never heard of a 70 incher. She has to be 50-60 years old???

Awesome! I've seen a few caught including one about this size on the St. Joe pier on Lake Michigan years ago. I would love to catch one myself some day.

That's awesome Chad! And great pics too. Alot of sturgeon pics don't turn out well, but you got two good ones there! Very nice, impressive fish.
