Post by NSTAGATOR » Tue Oct 18, 2005 1:44 pm

I have a couple rods that the reels spin around on the pole.....not loosley, just not as tight as new.The reel is tightened down as far as it goes. What do you guys do??Is the rod shot?Or do you just reinforce the rod with some duct tape or something else...or does the rod get takin in??I don`t know if they take it apart and super glue it or something???

The reel or the reel seat spins?

It's the cork that is turning around the blank? That can be epoxied. Easy? That will depend on how much you trust yourself. What kind of rod.

You can send them back to be re-corked by St Croix. If the cork is still in good shape then it's simply in need of an epoxy job. If you don't think you can do it yourself you could take it to Al & Bobs, they have a person that repairs rods for them.
