Recommendations for boat insurance providers?

Post by hemichemi » Thu Jul 25, 2024 12:02 am

I need to get a new company for boat insurance in Michigan, as my current provider will no be longer offering it starting next month.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Not sure what company you had. I had a long discussion with my agent from Auto Owners, and he assured me my home owners policy with enough personal property coverage to cover all of my stuff was sufficient. I'd start by making sure you don't have redundancies, and t hen attempt to fill in any gaps?

I will add, it is a little difficult to get a non musky guy to understand the cost associated with musky tackle!

I use State Farm for my boat insurance and haven't had any issues. They just needed some basic information and set it up pretty quickly.
