I know up on the Chippewa Flowage in WI., the lake association there bought up alot of the shore land and islands to make sure the spawning grounds are safe. Vano397, The state managers have to make the tough judgement calls based on the resources and factors they are dealt with. That is why they get paid and we get to play Monday morning quarterback. Seriously our DNR friends are going through a hard time right now, so I'll trust their judgement.

There will be a stocking wish list and fish available conflict for next few years until financing is found to expand the whole muskie program. I just got back from Ludington MCWA board meeting. The walleye guys are happy with the muskie program. Our MCWA web man also does the web site for the Hamlin Lake Association. He said he will check out this link and see about using it to help us with education for Hamlin Lake on their site.
