Nice work. That turned out great! I'm converting mine to a tiller, and I'm working on rebuilding the splash well today. These old boats had huge splash wells. It's neat taking something from nothing to nice, but I agree with you, I won't want to do this for some time. And won't. I'd much rather buy ...

I'll toss up a third option. Keep in mind that it is NOT readily available, but they can be found on ebay. The only parts for them you would ever need are still available. An Abu 523 XLT. Low profile, magnetic cast control, high capacity spool, pawl anti-reverse, bait clicker, and they are built lik...

In case you are really bored.
I'm rebuilding an old Sea Nymph boat. I had a new Tracker back when I first joined in 06' but sold it when I got divorced. I replaced it with a Hydra Sports Bass boat, and sold it last fall. It just wasn't an appropriate boat for our family-(3 boys hers, mine, and ours [smilie=2thumbsup.gif] ) Anyho...

It's a sickening thing that gas prices go up every time someone in the middle east farts. Gas is going up because they want it to and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it. It just means fewer trips and closer trips when I can go which sucks because I only catch 1 muskie a year as it is ...

I won't be making any day trips longer than an hour and a half drive. Looks like if/when I go to St. Clair I'll be making it a 3 day trip to get the most out of my gas money. Still planning on the I Chain May 18-22 at Cedars. Probably have fewer evening outings, and focus more on fishing long days ...

I have read with great interest all of the posts to the forum concerning the management plan as well as the actual plan itself. I will be sending in my comments to the MDNR this weekend and I had a few questions that I hope some of you may be able to answer. 1) Does MMA have recommendations concern...

A show off, and idea.
My mother in law who is great by the way (weird I know!!) is an artist. My b-day present from last year or the year before from her was this. http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr63/DSP74/Picture-1.jpg Anyhow if one of these could be auctioned off at a meeting or something I could talk to her about ...

I think the numbers are kind of skewed, but if you want to stay away from Hudson, that's o.k. with me! [smilie=applause.gif] My plan is to head over Fri night, fish, sleep in the Bronco, or a small tent, fish all day sat, sleep, fish half the day sunday and come home. But that will probably ...

Cisco chain is likely the only one w/ limited data. The others are based on hundreds of fish. The numbers are drastically skewed by the greater number of male vs. female fish in the data. To know what the maximum size is for a given year class only the females should be looked at after age 3 as the...

Disclaimer-I'm not all the way through the DNR management plan document. A few notes off the top of my head. It seems like they have set a criteria for some waters, at least in the future, that current waters don't match. We as anglers need to do a better job reporting ALL catches. Me personally I h...

How are waters being stocked chosen?
How does the DNR determine which lakes they would like to create musky fisheries in? The reason that has me asking this question is the fact that some lakes I want to hit this year are actually very small lakes. I'm sure size isn't the only factor in determining reproduction but it has to be a facto...

They are great for jerkbaits, or small jerk plastics like the eels. They have to work really to hard for cranks and bucktails. That isn't to say there is anything wrong with the reel, just that it is made for a specific purpose. I have a 5500c4 I would be interested in trading, and/or selling. Like ...
